GCL College Up Date

* Loyola University, Chicago senior Walt Gibler (St.Xavier) was named the U.S. Army Horizon League Male Scholar Athlete of the Month for December. This is the third time in his career that he has won this award.

* Wofford senior Brad Loes (St.Xavier) Finished with 21 points and went 11 for 13 from the free throw line a a 79 - 72 win at Furman. It was the fifthgame scoring at least 20 points this season

GCL Connections to Super Bowl

* Patriots - DL Mike Wright (Purcell Marian) is on injured reserve, and played at the University of Cincinnati.

* Giants - LB Greg Jones (Moeller) is a Cincinnati Native
