GCL Newsmakers

Elon sophomore David Whitehead (Moeller) evened his record at 2-2 for the season in a 12-3 win over High Point on April 18th. Whitehead allowed three hits and no earned runs, while striking out four batters in six innings.

Youngstown State sophomore Craig Goubeaux (Fenwick) hit his third double of the season and scored a run in a 5-4 loss.

Pitcher Charlie Leesman (Elder) of Triple-A Charlotte earned his first win of the season in a 4-3 win against Durham on April 18th. Leesman struck out three and allowed two earned runs in five innings
